If you are in Krakow for 3 days you can see a lot more stuff (and at a more relaxed speed) than our 1 day in Krakow itinerary.
Day 1 in Krakow – Explore the city
We recommend you follow the 1 day Itinerary to see the Old Town and Kazimierz. In the evening you could check out some bars in Plac Nowy or go for a walk along the river.
Day 2 in Krakow – See Auschwitz and the Salt Mines
Auschwitz will be a sad day but it is a memorable experience. There are many tour companies in the town that you can arrange to take you there, or you can get a train there. See details on getting to Auschwitz from Krakow here. Most (if not all) of the tour companies do packages for both Auschwitz and the Salt Mines in one day. You should do both – you will normally return to town by about 5-7pm.
Day 3 in Krakow – Pick and choose!
If you enjoyed the history of yesterdays Auschwitz visit then you might want to check out Plaszow Concentration Camp. It is not as busy as Auschwitz but filled with history.
Like animals? Check out the Krakow Zoo. It is super cheap but still high quality with a range of animals in large cages.
Not into the Zoo or seeing another concentration camp? You could get a coach to the mountains (2 hours away) in Zakopane. Awesome views there!
Once you return back to the city center in the evening make sure you check out some Polish food restaurants!
