We have a few guides (see our itineraries here) on what to do if you are in Krakow, and we think 7 days is the perfect amount of time to spend in Krakow. You can see the main things in a few days, but with the extra 3 or 4 days you can start going a bit further away from Krakow (on short day trips) and see much more of Poland. On day two we suggest you go to Zakopane – this is only two hours away (via coach) but is completely worth it. Going to Wrocław (3 hours away) is a good idea too if you want to see another nice city.
Day 1 – Explore The Main City Center of Krakow
The first day in any new city should be spent exploring it. So go and explore! There are lots of things to see and do in in Krakow that are within walking distance.
Start off in the main market square and follow this guide to sight seeing in Krakow.
Day 2 – Spend the day at Auschwitz then have some Pierogi or Polish food in the evening
Although it will not be a happy day it is important to see the history of Auschwitz and the Nazi Occupation. Another museum related to WWII that is worth checking out is the Schindler’s Factory. You will probably need to fit that in on a different day though.
Day 3 – Coming soon!
Sorry, the rest of this guide is coming really soon!
