Locked Up is an escape room game, where they lock you in a room for 60 minutes and your team has to escape. They have 3 rooms, each with their own puzzles.

    The different rooms:

    • THE MARS EXPEDITION – for the first time in the world we present the real life escape game scenario based on a space trip to the Red Planet
    • THE INCA TREASURE – the own and only adventurous scenario, which shows the true might of the Inca Empire
    • THE SECRET CHAMBER – everything which seems to be obvious may not be – we want you to experience each nook of the Secret Chamber

We haven’t tried out the escape room yet, but it seems to have great reviews on Trip Advisor.

  2. Let Me Out – Krakow Escape Game

Let Me Out is an escape game in the Old Town area of Krakow. Basically they lock you (and some friends) in a room and you have to find and solve challenges within 45 minutes to escape. You don’t actually win anything, but it is just a lot of fun.

We tried it out one evening (there were 3 of us) and it was a lot of fun. There are two rooms, but we tried only one. It is hard to describe it or show photos without giving away too many hints.

We do have to admit that we asked the staff for a clue with something. We had the right idea, but were just doing it slightly wrong. Apart from that everything went well and it was a good laugh. It is slightly shorter than the other escape rooms – this one is only 45 minutes. It costs 99zl per group.

  3. Challenge Accepted – Escape Room in Krakow

Challenge Accepted is an escape room game in Krakow. You are locked in a room for 50 minutes and have to solve clues to escape. If you have ever seen the UK show “Crystal Maze” that might give you a rough idea of what to do.

“Real life escape game is type of logical game for teams of 2-4 people. After entering the room you have 50 minutes to find the way out of the room. In order to do so you have to find hidden clues and solve a bunch of puzzles. “

    There are two rooms:

    Post Apocalyptic themed room

(Photos blurred out to hide any clues and faces)

This is the first room that we did, and it was quite a challenge. We did have to resort to asking for a hint or two – but it was a lot of fun. The room isn’t massive, but there are plenty of clues to solve within the 50 minutes

    School room themed room

The next room that we solved (the next day) was the school room themed one. The challenges to solve required the same sort of think process, but they were completely different challenges. We struggled with this room (4 of us in there), but with a few more hints (you can knock on the door for a hint) we finally got the code to unlock the door!

Challenge Accepted School Room Escape Room

We didn’t take many photos in here that do not give away many clues. But it was a lot of fun.

Final review of Challenge Accepted Escape Room

We loved it, and have recommended friends go to them. Out of the two rooms we preferred the first one (Post Apocalyptic themed one), but either of them are good.

If you go, tell them you found out about them on GuideToKrakow.com!

  4. Krakow “Escape Rooms” – The Best Escape Games in Krakow Reviewed

Krakow has several ‘Escape Rooms’ (and more seem to be opening every few months).

    What is an ‘Escape Room’?

Basically you and up to 4 or 5 of your friends are locked in a room for one hour and have to work out how to unlock the door. You might have to solve puzzles, find hidden keys (or even hidden rooms!), find out lock combinations etc. They are a lot of fun, and always quite hard to do. But still, the fun is in the challenge!

[More info about what are escape rooms can be found here]

They typically cost 80-100zl. If you are lucky you might be able to get a Groupon for a discount. A company often has more than one room, and often if you do more than one room you can get a discount. But it varies for each one.

They generally won’t tell you much about the room before you go in, and most ask that photos not be shown to people – this is only to keep it more of a mystery so it is more of a challenge. It wouldn’t be hard or enjoyable if everyone knew that to escape you had to put X in Y and enter code XXXX…
